Craig McGahey's obsession with music began at primary school in the 70's when he would hold an old tape reorder next to the radio speakers to record the weekly chart shows. Then came the stint as music compiler and world music DJ for a local community radio station. This was followed by the setting up of Mama Dance ! Music with it's legendary recording studios in the bohemian district of Observatory. Cape Towns most successful record label followed together with the publishing division. With the studios move to the new premises in central Cape Town, Craig has quickly established himself as the person the ad and film companies use when sourcing tracks for their productions or handling complicated music licensing issues.
